Whitehouse has some priorities among PEC’s environmental concerns, priorities that he will continue to address during his second term as PEC’s board chairman.
“I very much like the idea of communities with sharp edges,” he said. “Development shouldn’t be dribbling out all along the road. You should have business, you should have open space, you should have commercial development, all sharply defined and grouped. Communities, for the most part, have the plans for this goal, but they need to find a solution to the special exception problem.”
