This week, let's look at scripture j in I Peter 5:7. It says, "Casting all ! your care upon Him for He careth for j you.” This verse very clearly shows i us how much God really loves and ) cares about us, because it is telling S us to cast ALL our cares, troubles, j anxieties and problems on Him. i
God doesn’t want his children j weighed or burdened down with s cares or problems. He wants us to be ^ free from these things, and He will j take them from us if we will only, by J faith, give them over to Him. I
The way we do this, we saw in j last weeks article. Phil 4:6 says to j pray and petition God with thanksgiv-1 ing. We make our request known to j God. Example: “Father, I come to < you in the name of Jesus. I have this heavy burden and care on me. You said, in your word, to cast them on you because you love and care for j me. Father, I know, by faith, cast this J care on you and I trust you to take«
care of it. And I now thank you for j your peace that you give me in place j of my problems and cares. In Jesus! name, I pray, Amen." •
After having prayed this prayer in i faith, the peace of God will keep your ■ heart and mind. (Phil 4:7) This kind of s peace surpasses understanding, j Why? Because it is the divine, su-j pematural peace of God. Not the • kind of peace the world offers; which j isn't lasting peace. S
In John 14:27, Jesus speaks j these wonderful words of comfort to ! us. "Peace I leave with you, My j peace I give unto you; not as the j world giveth, give I unto you, let not j your heart be troubled, neither let it • be afraid." There are so many won- j derful scriptures on the subject of j peace. |
