The marriage of Cynthia Sue Burke of Amissville, daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Wallace Woodward of Amis8ville and the late Jimmy Lee Burke, to Ricky Lee Settle of Amissville, son of Mr. and Mrs. Donald Settle of Amissville, took place on Saturday, August 29 at the Culpeper Assembly of God Church in Culpeper.
Rev. William Smith performed the ceremony. The music was provided by Terry White, organist, and Rev. and Mrs. Paul Markee, soloists.
The bride, escorted by her stepfather and given in marriage by her parents, wore a formal length gown of traditional satin with alencon lace. The high wedding band collar was of alencon lace adorned with pearls as was the bodice. The Gibson girl sleeves and circular satin skirt were accented with large alencon appliques., Hen finger tip veil of silk illusion with scattered seed pearls was attached 'to a small pearl wreath. She carried a bouquet of white roses, white rose buds and baby’s breath mingled with baby wine rose buds.
