With real Halloween horror stories on the rise in recent years, several local organizations have acted to provide safe, organized activities for the county’s young ghosts and goblins as they prepare to celebrate All Hallow’s Eve on Saturday, Oct. 31.
“In the interests of community spirit,” according to Cheri Woodard, spokesman for the Sperryville Business Council, the council has organized and will sponsor a Halloween Festival on Saturday between 6 and 8 p.m. “There will be goodies for the children and plenty of festive activities.”
