Hospices supplement existing health services by working with home care .agencies, physicians, social workers, and ministers.
Volunteers from Hospice of the Rapkfcn provide companionship, support, transportation and assistance with shopping or errands. Bereavement counseling is available for the patient’s family for one year after the death. All services are free ofcharge.
Hopsice of the Rapidan is supported by contributions, memorials, memberships, and the United Way.
Events for the month include the Hospice of the Rapidan’s annual membership meeting on Wednesday, Nov. 11, at '7:30 p.m. at the Precious Blood Catholic Church Parish Hall in Culpeper and the first memorial service on Sunday, Nov. 22, at 8 p.m. at the Madison Methodist Church.
