They stopped at the Courthouse, Sheriffs and Fire Departments, Medical Center, one of the county’s general stores, the Post Office, Commissioner of Revenue and Treasurer’s offices. And, saving the best for last, they sampled the county’s best-known product: Rappahannock apples at Tom Lee’s orchard (above). There were plenty of apples to go around, as the children loaded up their lunch bags to take a few extras home for the rest of the family.
