The first Scandinavian Festival in Virginia will be held this weekend. rain or shine, from 10-6 p.m., June 25-26 at Olive Mill’s Scandia Touch in Banco. The festival will feature and promote Scandinavian food, crafts, organizations and performers.
Featured among the Scandinavian crafters will be Christina Keune - demonstrating the Norwegian art of Rosemaling, and works of renowned artist and craftsperson Mrs. Sigrun Jonsdottir of Iceland. Scandinavian preserved food and gift items will also be featured.
