The conference is scheduled in « conjunction with two major exhibitions of the craft arts in Richmond. “Craft Today: Poetry of the Physical” began in May 1987 as the inaugural exhibition of the new American Craft Museum and will conclude its national tour at the Virginia Museum of Fine Arts. In addition, “New Art Forms: Virginia,” an exhibition of selected works in craft media from around the state, will be at the Hand Workshop. Both exhibitions are sponsored by Philip Morris Companies Inc.
