“Or suppose that my neighbor and I had walked into Mr. McCarthy’s office at the same time and we each wanted two lots? If three ‘cuts’ were left, how would he decide who got how many lots?” Mrs. Doares asked.
“Would any choice that Mr. McCarthy made be fair? Could there be justice?”
