Funeral services were conducted June 17 at the Moser Funeral Home, Warrenton, by Dr. Vinton Williams. Interment was at Cedar Grove Cemetery, Bealeton.
George B. Jenkins
George (Billy) Boot Jenkins died June 15 at his residence at Sperryville.
A native of Rappahannock, Mr. Jenkins was the son of the late Charlie Boot and Nellie Pearl Jenkins.
He is survived by his wife Ellen Sisk Jenkins, two daughters, Frances Dodson and Dorothy Ellen Jenkins, both of Sperryville, two sisters, Peggy Sisk, Boston, and Martha Weakley, Sperryville, and six grandchildren.
A funeral service was conducted June 18 at Nethers Mill Lighthouse Tabernacle by Rev. Charles Clinedinst. Interment was at the Jenkins family cemetery near Sperryville.
Pallbearers were Wayne Jenkins, Donnie Dodson, Roger Haynes, Steve Dodson, Eugene Sisk, Elwood Dyer, Jimmy Sisk and Archy Dodson.
Nathan Tanner
Nathan Tanner, 18, of Florence, Oregon, died June 18 of injuries received in a motorcycle accident.
He was bom April 12, 1970, in Seattle, Washington, and had lived in Amissville from 1985 until 1987. He attended Rappahannock County High School, where he played saxophone in the school band and was a member of the Drama Club, appearing in the school production of Bye, Bye Birdie.
He graduated this year from Siuslaw High School in Florence.
Mr. Tanner is survived by his father Michael, his mother Lina, two sisters, Beth and Ari, and numerous other relatives.
Services will be conducted June 24 at 1:30 p.m. at the Siuslaw Valley
