Sperryville plans spring fest
Memorial Day weekend, May 27 and 28, will again bring thousands of visitors to Sperryville for the village’s annual Spring Festival.' From 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. Saturday and Sunday there will be carriage and pony rides, music and other entertainment, crafters demonstrating their art, a petting zoo, and food from many vendors along the town’s Main Street. Miss Fourth of July
Washington Volunteer Fire Department will sponsor a Miss Fourth of July this year. Girls from the Hampton District between the ages of 13 and 18 are urged to call the fire department at 703/675-3615. “Leave your name and number on the machine and we will contact you with information,” said an organizer.
