Outdoor scholastic sports were a wash again this week as rain forced cancellation of more baseball games.
And this time, the showers ^that have made this May the second wettest in history also ended the Panthers' hopes of slots in the Bull Run District tournaments.
For the 1989 season, there will be no post-season tournament for either boys baseball or girls softball.
Instead, the top two finishers of the regular season — Page and Stonewall for boys baseball and Central and Strasburg for girls softball — will advance to the regional playoffs.
All Bull Run District regular season games must be played by this Saturday. Accordingly.
