Mr. and Mrs. Will R. Brown of Flint Hill wish to announce the engagement of their daughter, Amy Christine, also of Flint Hill, to ' Thomas Aaron Garnett Jr. of Summerduck.
Miss Brown is a 1983 graduate of Rappahannock County High School and is employed by Fauquier Hospital as a Data Entry Clerk and Computer Services.
Mr.. Garnett is employed by the Postal Service in Merryfield.
A July wedding is planned.

courses
Lord Fairfax Community College announces the beginning of its Short Session (three weeks) and other special time period courses for Summer Semester.
Classes will be held at the college campus in Middletown, as well as at “The Barn” in Warrenton. Course offerings include: Computer Information Systems, Drafting, Electrical Technology, Mechanical Design Technology, Photography, Real Estate, Architecture, Air Conditioning and Refrigeration, Geography, Health and Physical Education, Forestry, Math, Finance and Office Technology. A series of courses which deal with current industrial processes and technology may be of particular interest to employees of local business and industry.
Students may register during regular Admission Office hours of 8 a.m. to 7 p.m., Monday through Thursday, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. on Friday from now' until the beginning date of each course.
