A Mass of Christian Burial was offered Friday, May 12 at th^ Church of the Holy Redeemer in Kensington. Officiating at the Mass was the pastor of Church of the Holy Redeemer, Monsignor Leo Coady. A tribute was offered by Father Lorenzo Albacete.
Vocal accompaniment was provided by the children from Mount De Sales Academy in Baltimore, Maryland, where Mrs. Carrigan worked with the students.
Pallbearers were Mr. Robert Hutchinson, Robert Hutchinson Jr., Mark Hutchinson, Tim Hutchinson, Judge James Carrigan and Jay Jagoe.
Mrs. Carrigan was buried in Rock Creek Cemetery.
Alberta Settle
Alberta Frazier Settle, 69, of Elkwood, died May 14 at the University of Virginia Hospital.
Mrs. Settle was a native of Rappahannock County and had lived in Elkwood.
Survivors include her husband, Ollie Settle, Elkwood; three sons, Carl Settle, Bernard Settle and Ollie Settle Jr., all of Elkwood; one daughter, Gloria Settle Myers, Elkwood; one brother, Bernard Frazier, Fredericksburg; three sisters, Margaret Buraker, Culpeper, Catherine Cubbage, Castleton and Lottie Woodard, Remington; two uncles, Ellis Frazier, Culpeper and Robert Sisk, Orange; 12 grandchildren; and one great-grandson.
Graveside services were held at Fairview Cemetery on May 17 with the Rev. Gordon George officiating.
Clore Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
