Inn's advisors
will canvass
for concerns

When Patrick O’Connell, representing The Inn at Little Washington, proposed that a group of town and county residents be formed to consult with the Inn about its expansion plans, some were skeptical of his intent, or whether the group would ever be formed.
Last Thursday night, the group met at the county library to formulate its plans and listen to a presentation by Mr. O’Connell and his partner, Reinhardt Lynch.
The group represents a broad cross-section of the town and surrounding county, with both supporters and opponents of the Inn’s plans represented. Chaired by former town resident and Architectural Review Board member Jim Thomasson; it also includes his wife Nan, a former member of the Town Council; Joyce Kramer, a former planning commissioner; Dr. Werner Krebser, a member of the county planning commission; Gene Leggett; Carol Miller, a former member of the town’s Architectural Review Board; the Rev. Jennings Hobson III, rector of Trinity Episcopal Church; Betty Buntin; Laurie Marshall; and Diane Bruce.
Mr. Thomasson explained that he had received several inquires from others interested in serving, but that since a decision was made from the beginning not to include anyone presently serving in town government or a candidate in the town election, those offers were politely declined. “We have
