And, Mr. Luke stressed, anyone with suspicions of child abuse should not be afraid to report them. Some people are obligated by law to report, including doctors, teachers, police officers and emergency medical personnel.
And all reports are investigated, no matter how insubstantial they may sound. “We’d rather go and investigate and have it turn out to be nothing than not to have it reported and have a child hurt.”
