“Sign up now through April 30 for a long term agreement for conservation practices to be carried out over a period of three to five years,” said Linda Henry county director of ASCS. Requests must be made on an application form in the ASCS office by April 30 and before a practice is started, Ms. Henry added.
Practices for which cost-share is offered includes establishing or improving permanent vegetative cover, strip cropping systems, diversions, grazing land protection, cropland protective cover, critical area cover, livestock watering facilities, sod waterways, planting forest trees, and animal waste facilities.
