“False reports represent a small percentage — especially among young children,” Mr. Luke said. Most false reports are filed by teenagers or parents involved in divorce ■cases, especially when the report is made by the parent rather than the child. “But we don’t rule that out, we look for corroborating evidence.”
Children, Mr. Luke added, “don’t lie. And their memories are suprisingly good in relation to certain things.”
He stressed that abusive parents can be found in all walks of life, and 'related the story of a judge who molested the son of another judge while they attended a judicial conference. “It’s a sex drive, 'an attraction to young children.”
