Springfest
Oasis’s Annual Springfest, the first wine festival of the year, will be * held on Saturday, May 5 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the winery in ' Hume.
The event is of particular interest in that Oasis Vineyard is celebrating this event as it occurs on its 10th anniversary. All visitors on that day are invited to join Oasis Vineyards in its celebration in a first time tasting of the vineyard’s sparkling wine as well as its still wines.
The much-acclaimed event has _ become significant enough as it is * the day for crowning the “Lord & Lady of the Vine”. Poems and lyrics related to the wine or vine are submitted in advance and judged by a j select group.
The festival should be of great fun for all people, children, ladies and gentlemen, young and old, according to an Oasis spokesman.
Tickets are now on sale at $8 in advance and $10 at the gate. For groups of ten or more the rate is $6 per person. For more information call (703) 635-7627.
