Over at the girls’ field the story has been much the same, although the Lady Panthers attempted to squeeze in a game Monday against Luray. But the skies opened and rained out the game after two innings.
“They were really disappointed,” Coach Leake said, when the game was called with the Panthers leading 10-2. The visitors were running for their bus, she said, while her girls stood on the field begging the umpire to continue the game.
