“The way this thing came about is under the old ordinance you could take a 200-acre farm and divide it up in 25-acre lots,” Board of Supervisors representative Mike Massie said. “You have taken the whole 200 acres out of agriculture, and in the meantime you haven’t provided any housing opportunities for the people of Rappahannock County. It was a good idea in the new ordinance to go to an average density of 25 acres. ”
