Big-time bicycle racing made an encore appearance in Sperryville Monday when the Tour de Trump cycled through The Little Apple on its way to Winchester.
It was almost — but not quite — a repeat of last year’s race, since this time the riders pedaled up the seven-mile grade of U.S. 211 from Sperryville to Thornton’s Gap. And this time the weather cooperated, with sunny skies replacing the misty overcast which hampered the riders last year.
