Lourena Jenkins
Lourena Mae Jenkins, 55, of Culpeper, died May 1 at her residence.
A native of Sperryville, Rappahannock County, she was the daughter of the late Lee Hudson and Lucy Mae Jenkins.
She is survived by a brother, Robert Lee Jenkins of Culpeper, and several aunts and uncles.
A funeral was held May 4 at the Assembly of God Church in Culpeper, the Rev. William C. Smith Jr. officiated, with interment in Fairview Cemetery in Culpeper.
Pallbearers were James Bailey, William Jenkins, Jerry Hoyt, Roy Dodson Sr., Jesse May and Harold Arnold.
Geest-Johnson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.

Rutherford
Thomas Joseph Rutherford, 81, of Front Royal, died May 6 in the University of Virginia Hospital in Charlottesville.
The funeral was held May 9 at Maddox Funeral Home in Front Royal with the Rev. Wilbur Bell officiating. Burial was in the Prospect Hill Cemetery.
Mr. Rutherford was born Feb. 2, 1909, in Rappahannock County, the son of the late William Keafer and Mollie Mills Rutherford. He was associated with Rutherford Body Shop for many years. He was a member of the Bethel Assembly of God Church and married to the late Virgie E. Rutherford.
Surviving are one son, Lynwood Rutherford of Front Royal; one foster son, Edward L. Sealock of San Francisco, Calif.; one brother,
