What a beautiful week we’ve had; we’ve enjoyed observing the Canadian geese goslings hatched this week. We hope they survive the foxes.
Everyone is invited to attend dedication day at Stuart’s Field on May 14, at 5:45. The dedication day is to honor Mrs. “Micky” Stuart for the contribution she and her husband made to Little League. She will throw out the first ball.
Rappahannock Athletic Association (RAA) is grateful for all their sponsors. The number of teams this year has grown to 18. The community deeply appreciates everyone associated with RAA for their many hours of volunteer service to help train our kids.
I hope eveyone will come out and enjoy the games. Bambino-Majors and T-Ball are played at 6 p.m. on Monday, Tuesdays and Fridays. The Babe Ruth and Bambino-Minors teams play at 6:15 p.m. on Mondays and Thursdays. No games on Wednesdays.
Bring the whole family and friends to an all-you-can-eat breakfast on Mother’s Day, Sunday, May 13, beginning at 8 a.m. at the Amissville fire hall.
Volunteers would be appreciated to assist with preparation and serving; also, any donations of food would be appreciated as well.
