James Albert Rutherford of Huntly; two sisters, Isabel R. Butler and Pauline Keatts, both of Front Royal; two foster sisters, Lucy Mills Showers and Minnie B. Showers, both of Front Royal; one granddaughter; and one great-granddaughter.
Pallbearers were Ronald Rossie, Richard Smith, Lyle Merchant, James E. Pomeroy, Kenneth Campbell and Leon Sealock. Honorary pallbearers were Albert Blanco, Benny Jenkins, Wayne Derflinger, Norman Derflinger, Donald Lester and Dean Reynolds.
Thomas Rector Sr.
Thomas Edward Rector Sr., 45, of Warrenton, died May 6 at Fauquier Hospital in Warrenton.
Mr. Rector was a bricklayer.
Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Amita Lawson Rector of Warrenton; two sons, Thomas Rector Jr. and Robert E. Rector; one daughter, Patricia Smith; his mother, Mrs. Martha L. Rector; five sisters, Lena James, Mary Williams, Bettie Tibbs, Evonne Mosley and Carolyn Williams; one brother, James Rector; five grandchildren; two aunts, Alberta Foster and Julia Jasper; and a host of other relatives and friends.
A funeral service was held at the Bethel Baptist Church, Amissville on May 9. The Rev. C. Allsbury of Front Royal officiated. Interment was in the family section of the church cemetery, AmissviUe.
W.C. Thompson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
