To the editor:
It has been just over a year since I joined the Rappahannock Animal Welfare League — a year that has changed my life.
The satisfaction of helping living things is diminished by the hugeness of the task. My love and respect for animals, can’t save them. My knowing that they deserve good homes, can’t help me find them.
This is not a job for a single group of people. It must be a effort, an awareness in the entire county. If you saw what I saw, you would be changed.
Please spay and neuter your dogs and cats. Over population is the center of the problem.
We as a people have domesticated these animals and they need us to survive. I wish I could set them
