The marriage of Penny Renee Kling and Robert Lynn Jenkins took place Saturday, March 9 at Luray Pentecostal Church.
The 2 o’clock double ring ceremony was performed by Rev. Albert Kling amid a setting of fresh ferns with pink and white candle arrangements.
Pianist Bonnie Richards of Luray played traditional wedding music including “Bridal March” by Wagner as the processional and “Wedding March” by Mendelssohn for the recessional. She also sang “What A Difference You Made In My Life.”
Kevin Kling, brother of the bride, sang “Surely the Presence,” accompanied by the piano.
Kevin and Laura Meadows of Elkton sang “What God Hath Joined Together” by Paul Overstreet accompanied by the guitar.
The bride is the daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Curtis S. Kling of Stanley.
Mr. and Mrs. Robert H. Jenkins of Washington are parents of the groom.
Given in marriage by her father, the bride wore a formal length gown of white satin fashioned with a fitted basque bodice. The gown was styled with a V-neckline, a lace inset, satin bow, puffed sleeves and a full skirt. A satin bow accented the back of the waist-line, where the skirt descended into rows of satin and lace.
Her two-tiered shoulder-length veil of illusion fell from a headband accented with pink and white rosebuds and baby’s breath.
She carried a cascading bouquet of pink silk roses, tiger lily’s, azalea blossoms and baby’s breath, enhanced with sprigley pearls, pink satin and lace streamers.
Dee Dee Good of Luray was matron of honor. She wore a pale pink tea-length dress of silk brocade with a Queen Anne neckline, puffed
