The Annual Clean up - Fix
Up Week for the Town of Washington has been set from April 11 through April 17. Extra trash removal pick-ups will be made on Saturday, the 17th. Trash of all types will be removed at this time. Also as has been the custom since 1951, as a public service sapling dogwood trees will be made available upon request to the County Agent’s office, prior to Friday, April 9.
The Rappahannock County Education Association met Wednesday, March 24 and officers for the 1971-72 session were elected. Edward Gray was named to the presidency; and Miss Elsie Dodson was seated at vice president. Mrs. Linda Yakim was selected as secretary and Mrs. Dorothy Butler as treasurer.
