Rappahannock Sheriff John Henry Woodward reported that his office made four drunk driving arrests this week. Together witlr one arrest by the State Police, that makes five.
“That’s a lot for us. We don’t' usually get that many in a single week,” he said. The arrests weren’t the result of a traffic stop, said Sheriff Woodward: “We just fell in behind them.”
Also, Lee Rooker, 21, of Washington, was arrested on March 29 for trespassing, said Sheriff Woodward.
He allegedly trespassed onto property owned by the First Baptist Church of Washington on March 27, said Sheriff Woodward.
Mr. Rooker had a trespassing notice served on him by the church about a year ago, said the sheriff. ,
