The National Honor Society held its annual induction ceremony Tuesday, March 19 in the RCHS library.
The new inductees were senior Shawn Garnett; juniors Melissa Alther, Sherron Boddie, John Dwyer and Jason Fox; and sophomores Rachel Atkins, Patrick O’Meara and Lori Paratore.
Inducted on an honorary membership was Juliana Volkmar, an exchange student from Germany.
llie evening began with the procession of all the current NHS members and inductees. The guest speaker was Cynthia Way land, who has taught French at the high school for 17 years.
She received her bachelor’s degree in French from Mary Washington College in Fredericksburg and now resides in Sperryville with her husband Edward Wayland and their daughter Sarah.
