According to Carol Miller, president of the Rappahannock chapter, about 40 percent of the money raised by the volunteers during the crusade will go toward programs and services in Rappahannock County; the remainder supports national services. One of the major goals is public education.
“The more people know about cancer, the better their chances are of reducing the risk of getting it,” Mrs. Miller said.
