Tax bills are in mail

Tax bills for real estate and personal property for 1991 have been mailed out and are due Dec. 5. Failure to receive the bill does not relieve the taxpayer of penalties and interest charges that accrue by law for failing to pay the tax.

If you have not received your bill(s), contact Treasurer Frances Foster, P.O. Box 37, Washington, Va. 22747 or phone 6753334. Office hours are Monday-Friday, 8:30 a.m.-4:30 p.m. The office will be closed Dec. 6.

SHARE hold Deliveiy Day

Delivery Day for SF1ARE this month is 10 a.m.-l 1 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 23 at the Washington Baptist Church. Participants may pick up their food at that time.

Those wishing to sign up for December may also do so Nov. 23. Those wishing to participate must bring $13 in cash or food stamps.
