Mr. Reynolds advised the council that this is the third time the town ARB has held a special meeting, and advised the council that, in general, “it is better to have regular meetings.”
In other business, the council:
• Voted to appropriate funds to install a recycling center at the Washington Fire Hall. Mr. Gooch said that non-town residents will be allowed to use the drop-off site one day a week, from 8 a.m. to noon. The first, experimental Saturday open drop-off day will take place Jan. 4.
• Agreed to remove the dumpster and several metal barrels from the town well lot following the receipt of a letter from Sid Berry. As a condition of conveying the property to the town, he restricted its use to the water department.
