Christmas
open house
The Rappahannock County Garden Club welcomes visitors to its Christmas Open House from 2-7 p.m. on Saturday afternoon, Nov. 23.
The Club has decorated Whiteaim, the Williamsburg style home of Colonel and Mrs. James T. White in the Flint Hill area of Rappahannock County to celebrate the Christmas season and wishes to share the festive occasion with others. Punch will be served and candlelight will enhance the scene as darkness falls.
There is no admission, no silver offering and nothing for sale. Just joyful respite as the sometimes hectic rush of the holiday season begins. Mrs. Charles B. Russell is in charge of the decorating with the assistance of many club members.
To reach the house, which is located on Route 647, take U.S. 522 to Flint Hill. From the intersection between Four and Twenty Blackbirds and the F&M Bank, turn onto Route 647 and follow it 3.3 miles to the house which is on the left. Signs at the entrance will mark the site.
