worn could start next month on a two-lane bridge to replace the 69year-old one-lane concrete Route 707 bridge that crosses the Hazel River near Slate Mills in Rappahannock County.
Echols Brothers Inc., of Staunton, was awarded a $513,983 contract to build the new concrete bridge and approaches by the Commonwealth Transportation Board at its meeting in Natural Bridge on Oct. 23.
