Scripture passages were read during the service by Mrs. Karen Thornhill of Fairfax and Mrs. Elma Morrison of Winchester, both aunts of the bride. During the ceremony roses were presented by the bride and groom to Mrs. Cary Thornhill, grandmother of the bride, and Mrs. George Butler, great aunt of the bride.

Catherine Beale played selections from The Water Suite by G. F. Handel. The wedding coordinators were Mrs. Sandra Hall of Culpeper and Mrs. Debbie Matthews of Bealeton. The crossbearer was Billy Hall.

The rehearsal was held prior to the wedding and the groom’s parents hosted a wedding dinner immediately following the ceremony at the Culpeper Culinaire.

On Saturday, Oct. 5, the wedding blessing and reception was held at Thorn-Ridge Farm in Boston.

Father Gerald Gordon officiated at the renewal of vows and wedding blessing.

The bridal party was driven to the barn in a fringed surry drawn by a three gaited horse provided by Mr. Danny Rider of Madison.

The country-style menu was prepared by Steve Dill of the Culpeper Culinaire and the North Carolina style barbecue was prepared by George Burr of Rockwood, Maine. The bam decorations were created by Jim Hall of Culpeper and Linda Wray of Boston, friends of the family.
