Social Services
holds food drive The Rappahannock Department of Social Services is organizing its annual food drive for the needy and asks those who wish to contribute non-perishable foods for their food baskets to contact the office.
The donations also help foster care children who have been separated from their families and may not receive anything if not for the generosity of their neighbors. The baskets are going out on Dec. 19, so bring your food items by the Gay Street office by Dec. 16. Social Services also has a small freezer if anyone wishes to donate a turkey.
