• Sent a sudivision application by the Citizen’s League back to the planners along with instructions that the Planning Commission, Mr. Reynolds and Zoning Administrator John McCarthy help the group come up with an acceptable plat.
Mr. Miller said the group needed some guidance. “It’s not an easy thing to do,” he pointed out.
• Was updated by council member Janice Moffett concerning the Emergency 9-1-1 system and street numbering. Mrs. Moffett explained that different town maps show different street alignments.
The council agreed that where the streets go off the 1917 map then other street names may be used. For example, where Middle Street goes off the map, Warren Avenue begins. The same applies to Calvert Street and Mount Salem Avenue and to other examples.
Also, the geographical center of the town will be the Middle-Main intersection by the Post Office. South of there will be “South Main Street,” etc.
