That left the committee to consider what is the best way to pro? ceed to solve the problem of the elementary school, which is approaching capacity.
One possibility is to increase the number of classrooms at the elementary school. Another is to build a middle school for three or four grades. The committee could also consider another high school expansion to offer vocational education in the county. A final possibility is to convert the current high school to a middle school and build a new high school with facilities for vocational education.
The committee is expected to make its recommendation to the School Board in January.

A variety of redistricting plans still abound, one of which is written by Sen. Charles Waddell, D-Loudoun/Fairfax, and may lead to an attempt by Sen. Waddell to run for Congress next year.
Sen. Waddell’s plan would put Reston and Herndon into a western 7th District, with Loudoun County and counties bordering to the south and west. Sen. Waddell’s plan would exclude U.S. Rep. George Allen, who just won the 7th, or any other incumbent congressman, from the 7th.
