The Flag Chairman, Mrs. Walter Clark, spoke of the story of our flag coming from several origins back to antiquity. Represented on the flags of many nations, including the American flag, are stars symbolozing the heavens and man’s divine goal, and stripes symbolizing the rays of light emanating from the sun.
Total membership of the chapter, reported on by Mrs. Dale Metzinger, Registrar, is now at 99.
Highlights of the ceremony on Nov. 11 at the Culpeper National Cemetery were given in which husbands of two chapter members participated. They were Major Claude Guinn, U.S. Army (Ret.) who conducted the ceremony and Col. Dale Metzinger, USAF (Ret.) who was the major speaker.
