The Sperryville Business Council will sponsor a Blue Ridge Christmas Nov. 29, 30 and Dec. 1. There will be door prizes, seasonal sales, country specialties, free refreshments, wreaths, trees, greenery, special gift ideas and country Christmas decorations everywhere. Bloodmobile to visit

The Rappahannock County Extension Homemakers Clubs will sponsor a Red Cross Bloodmobile at the Washington fire hall from 3;30 to 7:30 p.m. on Wednesday, Dec. 4. Though the holidays are particularly busy time of year, the county’s Extension Homemakers Clubs urge everyone to visit the Bloodmobile and give the most precious gift this holiday season: the gift of life.

Winter fashion show

St. Luke’s School in Culpeper will hold a Winter Fashion Show on Saturday, Dec. 7 in downtown Culpeper. The noon luncheon at the Davis Street Ordinary will feature the season’s fashions modeled by the teachers, parents and students of St. Luke’s School. The most elegant apparel shops in the area have joined together with the school. Those shops will include Fashion Shoppe of downtown Culpeper, The Orangerie and Little 5th Avenue of Orange, The Second Look of Madison and Faith Mountain of Sperryville. Students of St. Luke’s School will model boy’s and girl’s fashions from The First Years and Jack and Jill. Co-dependents to meet

Co-dependents Anonjmious will meet at 7:30 p.m. on Mondays at Trinity Episcopal Church in Washington. Co-dependency is a pattern of painful dependence on compulsive behaviors and approval from others in an attempt to find sanity, self-worth and identity.

Carollers needed

The Town’s Colonial Christmas celebration is in need of carollers for Saturday, Dec. 7 and Sunday, Dec. 8. Would be carollers should call Ellen Manson at 675-1349 for Saturday and Beverly Atkins at 6753513 or 675-3843 for Sunday. Beverly and Ellen will coordinate the carollers and assist with the colonial costumes.

Christmas open house

There will be a Christmas Open House at Fodderstack Crafts from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturday, Nov. 23. Items available will include decorative and gift items, wreaths, baskets, baked goods and wooden items. Refreshments will be available. Citrus fruit on sale

Several groups in the county will be selling fruit until Dec. 2 to help raise money for their respective organizations. Naval oranges ($18 box, $11 1/2 box), red grapefruit ($17 box, $11 1/2 box) and juice oranges ($15 box and $9 1/2 box) are being sold by the RCHS band, the RCHS chorus and the 7th grade students of RCES.
