Mr. Swindler also reported plant operator Donna Chabot said this spring the elementary school’s sewer plant was discharging even on weekends when school is not in session. It has to be checked whenever it is discharging.
As a result the people hired to operate the Sperryville plant on weekends will also be checking the school system’s plants, according to Mr. Swindler.
The treasurer also reported that he had received a bid of $5,366 from Country Water Systems to make modifications to the plant to alleviate surge problems that are caused by the design of the plant.
The members of the Authority then voted to advertise for bids to complete the necessary renovations.
