Around the village, Omega Hitt and her daughter and son-in-law, Mary and Jim Brown recently attended the 100th birthday celebration of Mrs. Hitt’s uncle, Mr. Clarence Jenkins of Luray. He was the only boy, he had seven sisters. Mr. Jenkins is the father of 12 children. He is Mrs. Hitt’s mother’s brother.
Congratulations to Mr. and Mrs. Frank P. McWhirt who will celebrate their 50th wedding anniversary Saturday, April 17. The couple were married in 1943.
