CULPEPER — Rappahannock County has halved its unemployment rate since February, 1992, according to figures released last week by the Virginia Employment Commission.
The latest figure for February', 6.7 percent, is down sharply from the 14.1 percent rate at this time last year. However, the rate continues its see-saw up and down movement following a seasonal low last fall, the VEC reported.
The Culpeper office of the Virginia Employment Commission reported that unemployment in February declined in all five counties of Planning District 9.
