Fine free week at library
Its fine free week during National Library Week April 18-24 at the Rappahannock County Library. Please bring back all those overdue items videos, tapes, magazines and books. No questions asked and no fines paid.
The Rappahannock Library is also proud to present radio personality Karen Henderson during National Library Week. Ms. Henderson will present a program for kids k-5 on Monday evening April 19 at, 7 p.m. about our good earth. Ms. Henderson will share songs, stories,' legends and facts. Admission is free and open to all. Please bring a piece of nature, and any overdue books. This program is sponsored by Down to Earth and the Rappahannock County Library.
Benefit concert for Hospice
Internationally acclaimed Pianist-Composer Peter Kater will of-, fer a spring concert to benefit the Hospice of the Rapidan which cele-l brates its 10th anniversary this year. The concert will be held at 7:30 p.m. May 1 at Our Lady of The Blueridge located on Route 29N. and Route 629 in Madison. Seating is limited. Advanced tickets are $12.50 and may be purchased at Culpeper Musice, Mountainside Market in Washington, Feather In The Wind in Charlottesville or by calling Hos-. pice of The Rapidan at 825-4840. Tickets will be $15 at the door. ;
Spring event at church
Washington Baptist Church will hold its annual Spring event beginning at 10 a.m. on Saturday, April 24.
There will be plants for sale, fried chicken dinners, barbequed chicken dinners, hamburgers, hot dogs and cold drinks. “Grandma”' will be selling things from her attic and all kinds of baked goodies will; be available to tempt the sweet tooth.
Library Board to meet
The Rappahannock Library Board will meet at 10 a.m. April 22. The public is invited to attend. The Rappahannock Library Board meets every fourth Thursday at 10 a.m.
Support group to meet
The Blue Ridge Head Injury support group will meet and have a social from 2-4 p.m. on Saturday, April 17 in the Parish Hall of Trinity Episcopal Church on the corner of Gay and Middle Streets in Washington. For information or transportation call Pat Salmon at 675-3137 after 6:30 p.m.
