for each team that was not included in the schedule in last week’s paper. This Saturday the teams will face Strasburg at home at 5 p.m. Games, starting with the away game against Strasburg on Friday April 23, will count towards district standings and the tournaments.
The soccer team has one tie and two losses so far this season. Last week they lost to Central 4 to 2 and then tied William Monroe 1 to 1 after two five minute overtimes.
“They have come a long way, and they have improved,” Coach Uli Maeyer said, lfollowing the game against William Monroe. “I credit that to the fact that these guys have played all year."
He noted that most of the players had participated in the fall season in the Warrenton youth league and then had played indoor soccer in a Herndon league during the winter.
