since King George II.

The second portion of each performance will be a selection of anthems by John Rutter, one of the most prolific and widely recognized sacred and choral music composers and arrangers of our time.

Rutter also founded the Cambridge Singers, and has been made an Honorary fello of Westminster Choir College, Princeton, New Jersey, which is where Wagner did his graduate work in choral conducting.

Some of the selections will be performed a cappella, others accompanied by Faye Utz on the piano or Alice Hess on the oboe.

Since 1986 the Madison Choral Society has presented Christmas and Spring Concerts, often with orchestral accompaniment or guest soloists.

It wants to accommodate its expanding supporters, while still aspiring to be the best community chorus it can be.
