Coach Maeyer said that this is still a building year for his team, but he has found his team able to compete against the other teams on the schedule. “The determination of the players has gotten us where we are,” he said.

On Monday the team lost to Madison 2 to 0. Following that game Coach Maeyer was less enthusiastic about his team’s play. “I’ve never seen them play worse," he said.

Madison scored its first goal 15 minutes into the first half and its second three minutes later. The rest of the game was scoreless, as the Rappahannock players seemed to lack offensive punch.

The soccer schedule has also been changed. The game with RMA this Thursday will be away, and the game also with RMA scheduled for May 6 will be at home.
