Eaton was convicted in February of two felony charges of interferring with the operation of an airplane so*as to endanger the pilot, and destruction of private property. Sentencing vmUtet&ftM until Jufier and she was released on $25,000 bond secured by her Sperryville property. It was her failure to appear for that hearing that resulted in the capias being issued.

At last week’s sentence hearing Judge William Shore Robinson fined her $2,500 on each count for the original charge, the maximum recommended by the jury. (Judges can impose sentences that are less than those recommended by the jury, but they cannot impose a sentence that is more than the jury’s recommendation.)
