Eaton was convicted in February of two felony charges of interferring with the operation of an airplane so*as to endanger the pilot, and destruction of private property. At last week’s sentence hearing Judge William Shore Robinson fined her $2,500 on each count for the original charge, the maximum recommended by the jury. (Judges can impose sentences that are less than those recommended by the jury, but they cannot impose a sentence that is more than the jury’s recommendation.)
