Congratulations to proud parents Jackie and Bill Dawson upon the birth of a son, James Elwood Dawson on June 29. He was named after both of his grandfathers. He weighed nine pounds, six ounces and was 21 1/2 inches long. Brandon, a student at Fresta Valley Christian School, welcomed baby brother home.
Proud maternal grandparents are Mr. and Mrs. Elwood Kyhl of Warrenton. The proud paternal grandmother is Mrs. Doris Pack of Amissville and the paternal grandfather was the late Mr. James Lyle Dawson of Linden.
Travel tip: On July 28 watch the Pony Swim of the wild ponies at Chincoteague and the auction the next day. We understand from friends Barbara and Charlie Gore it’s about a 5 1/2 hour drive. I’ve always wanted to visit Chincoteague. This year Carrington is taking me for my birthday on July 29. We’ll stay at Camper’s Ranch.
